Warmer weather lets us break out the flip flops and sandals. What southern gal doesn’t love her flip flops? But who wants dry, cracked feet and heels when they are sliding into that perfect pair of strappy sandals? That would be a nobody, we all want healthy pampered feet.
Dry feet, cracked heels, and calluses aren’t just an eye sore. If your feet develop deep fissures, it can make standing or walking painful. You also run the risk of germs entering into the breaks of the skin and causing infections.
So, how can you get healthy pampered feet at home and make them look fantastic all season long? It is as easy as 1,2,3.
Exfoliate calluses and dry spots with a pumice scrub like Grit With It. Pumice is great for scrubbing off dry, dead skin cells and relieving the discomfort caused by calluses.
After exfoliating, dry feet well and apply a moisturizer. Using Schwanky & Soft exfoliating foot creme with alpha hydroxy acid nightly (no need to sleep in socks!) will effectively exfoliate dead dry skin on your feet.
- Did you know that alpha hydroxy acid is derived from sugar cane? Yay for natural ingredients!
- Peppermint has great properties for foot care. It is an astringent and anti-microbial.
Now that you have some seriously pampered feet, we don’t want to neglect our nails or cuticles. Right On Cue Nail & Cuticle Softening Creme moisturizes and strengthens dry nails and cuticles with keratin and pro-vitamin B5 in a moisture rich shea butter base.
Want some extra pampering for those overworked feet?
1-2 times a week sit down with your favorite book or grab your Candy Crush game after wrapping your feet in a foot mask like Toes Before Bros with exfoliating papaya and pineapple enzymes for 10-20 minutes. Yep, the kids will see that mom takes care of herself because she deserves it!
So now that your feet look like you just stepped away from a salon pedicure (we won’t tell anyone that you did it from the comfort and convenience of your own home), walk confidently in whatever footwear you choose. You can even look smashing in your bare feet! 🙂
